Why Join The DSM Journey?

Why would you want to take the time to read this blog? Why get involved? Who is the person writing this and why do I care what they have to say? Those are questions you might be asking yourself now that you've taken the time to wander over to DSM's new blog, The Journey.

Well, let me answer a few of those questions for you right off the bat:

Why would you want to take the time to read this blog?
The Journey is going to be a place where we explore our feelings about life, Christianity, relationships, and other things that affect you on a daily basis. It's a place to have more community, more fellowship, and to take more steps along your journey.

Why get involved?
Because it gives you a chance to have an opinion and to give your feedback about issues that are important to you. It's also a place where, hopefully, I talk about things you want to know. Ask questions. Give opinions. Get to know each other. Be honest. Be real.

When should I come back to THE JOURNEY?
Every day if you can. Even on the days I haven't posted, you can still catch up on the comments that others left.

On Mondays, I plan on posting a "Sunday Summary" that will catch you up on what Daniel talked about at DSM for those that missed it. If I forget anything that you feel is important, please feel free to comment and add it. Or if you want to bring something up about DSM or ask questions...do it! You can help each other dig into the details that I missed.

On Wednesdays, I'm going to do a "Bible Breakdown" where I take a verse, apply it to real life, and ask you a couple questions.

And then on the other days, I may just post about random thoughts and ideas. I'm going to post surveys for you to answer and I'm figuring out how to add a prayer request section so you can know what's going on with your fellow DSMers. The more you comment, the more I'll write.

Who is writing this?
Well, I think I'll save that for another post. I'd like to know more about you first. I want to know who is reading and I'm also dying to have a few "followers" over on the top right of this screen! What do you want to hear more about? What would make you come back to read? What issues are most applicable to you on a daily basis.

Let's get started: comment and let me know!
