Summer Lovin'

We just returned from visiting Daniel's parents last week. They live in Wilmington, which is on the east coast of North Carolina. They live in the same home that Daniel grew up in, and it is 5 miles from the beach. Daniel's dad has lived that close to the beach almost his entire life and up until one week ago had never owned his own boat. Well, now he does. While we were home, we got to help him break it in. What fun! Riding on the water, going over the wake of other people's boats after they come by and hearing our boys scream with excitement, anchoring the boat and watching the boys swim and play in the water, trying to catch fish and hermit crabs, having a picnic lunch on the boat and then feeding the fish and birds our leftover bread, seeing a dolphin swim right by you while riding in the boat......nothing is better!

Spending time at the beach or on a boat with my family is the picture perfect summer day for me. What is your favorite thing to do during the summer?
