Talent Show

Hey ya'll, it's Amy! I might be stealing a little of Daniel and Jessica's thunder, but I wanted to share the video with you from Joshua's talent show on Friday night. Dusty and I went to support Joshua along with some others from DSM like Jonathan Lyons and Austin Eure! He did great and we really enjoyed seeing him do his thing! I don't know about you, but as a 7 year old, you couldn't have talked me into getting on a stage in front of that many people for anything!!!

Dusty and I waiting on the show to begin!

When the Daniel initially began to play the guitar for Joshua, the microphone wasn't picking up the sound. Then, when the mic finally did get turned on...there was a loud "feedback" through the speaker system causing Joshua to throw up his hands and loudly proclaim into his microphone, "This is a disaster!" Of course, the audience got a good laugh out of that...but as soon as everything was in working order, Joshua gave a pretty great rendition of David Cook's song...even with a "frog" in his throat on the second verse.

Our own future American Idol and his proud parents!

Before the show, Daniel said that Joshua was about seconds from not going out on stage...he was intimidated and scared, but he managed to do it anyway! Even though I wanted to use today's post to share Joshua's big moment with you, I also wanted to take the opportunity to ask you if there is anything in your life that you were scared to take a risk on but you did and it paid off?
